Optics for Teachers

At the OSA London Local Section, we would like to encourage teachers to come along to our meetings and hopefully, together, we can come up with exciting new experiments and tools for teaching optics, photonics, and the general physics behind light to the younger generation.

We currently visit schools to give talks and demonstrations with the OSA Optics Suitcase, and have recently been using the OSA Optics Kit.  We are currently in the process of mapping the contents of this kit to the Physics GCSE and A-Level curricula, and any advice or information from teachers would be invaluable.

If you are a teacher from the UK who is interested in this initiative, please go to the “JOIN” tab above and come along to a meeting, or contact us by email on OSALondonLocalSection@gmail.com and use the subject “Optics for Teachers.”
