Returning for its fourth year and continuing to grow in popularity, Imperial Festival will be held for the first time over the two full days of Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May 2015.
It will be a jam-packed schedule of performances, activities and ways to get involved with the best in science and arts at Imperial. Some Festival highlights include:
- Voyage of discovery: Take a trip to the Research Zone Marquee to meet our researchers and take part in a huge array of hands-on experiments. Send sand flying with an asteroid attack on planet Earth, do battle with Brigadier Bogey and the Snot Doctors, and make energy from light and water.
- Meet the microbes: Head over to the new Superbug Zone to chat with the scientists behind the bacteria, and find out why antibiotic resistance is one of the world’s biggest challenges.
- Take in some tunes: Soak up the Festival atmosphere in the Music Tent, with performances from musicians including popular geek-pop singer Jonny Berliner and the Imperial College String Ensemble.
- Leading lights: Drop into the Light Zone to try your hand at presenting in the Performance Simulator, a portable recreation of a concert hall, and then turn yourself invisible.
